The Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica, Inc. Range Ready program for replacement bulls and heifers provides a method for seed stock producers on the cutting edge to better manage their risk. Producers are able to extend this added value one step further by offering the transference of the warranty to their customers, thus creating a win/win situation throughout the production chain.

Animals that are enrolled in and follow the Range Ready protocol receive a warranty (minimum age requirement of 10 months) on their health for six months past their last vaccination. The stringent health protocol reduces herd health risk and the Range Ready warranty minimizes the producer’s financial risk due to treatment cost or death. As a producer you are able to assure your customers (through veterinarian certification and transference of a warranty) that you and BIVI stand behind the health of the animals they are purchasing. Transferring the warranty to the new owner reduces his economic risk at a time when newly purchased animals go through a period of high stress due to shipment and a new environment.
